It’s liquor with a Maine twist! Blueshine begins with Maine barley, fermented in our large wooden fermenter and then run through our copper still. When the “shine” is ready, we add in a bucket of Maine wild blueberries and complete the potion with a subtle helping of Maine maple syrup. It’s a taste of blueberry pancakes … with a kick.
Inspired by Maine’s black-capped chickadee, this crisp, gluten-free spirit is made from local grains and filtered through Maine black tourmaline and maple charcoal for a smooth, regional flavor.

An important tool in any expedition, exploration or campaign was the Ration, a small portion of spirit doled out daily. It is in this spirit of adventure and tradition that we at Maine Craft Distilling offer what we call an Expedition Style Rum. It is run in small batches in copper pot stills and matured in white oak barrels like its traveling ancestors.
Inspired by Maine sailors and Melville’s Queequeg, this bold spiced rum blends exotic fruits and spices for a rich, untraditional flavor adventure.

Maine’s bountiful orchards would not be possible if not for the whippletree; a simple design that has helped to shape our agriculture and landscape.
